Cecchetti Method

The Cecchetti System is a graded ballet method used in the classroom at Studio Bochette. It progresses students from primary to advanced levels over a period of maturity and study.

The Cecchetti work is that of one of the world’s greatest teachers — Enrico Cecchetti (1850-1928) — which was researched and perserved over 70 years ago by the Cecchetti Society. Today it is modernized to keep in step with the vibrant trends of today’s dance companies.

Exam Study and Certification is offered for those who qualify in the Spring. This is voluntary. A minimum of two classes a week are required for those studying pointe and/or preparing for exams.
