Pre-Dance and Acrobatics

Pre-Dance and Acrobatics (3-5 years): Pre-Dance is a creative, movement based class introducing elements of rhythm, body awareness, basic ballet vocabulary, and dance class structure. Class time is combined with locomotor and pre-acrobatic skills.

Beginning Ballet I and Acrobatics

Beginning Ballet I and Acrobatics (5 – 7 years): A creative based Ballet class for the once a week student. Class time combined with stretching, strengthening and Acrobatics.

Beginning Ballet II and Acrobatics

Beginning Ballet II and Acrobatics (7-10 years): A creative based Ballet class for the once a week student. Class time combined with stretching, conditioning and Acrobatics.

Ballet Level 1, Tap, and Acrobatics

Ballet Level 1, Tap, and Acrobatics (6-9 years): Ballet dancers who have had pre-dance and are prepared to learn Cecchetti Grade 1 skills. Creative class time is combined with beginning Tap and stretch-strengthening through basic Acrobatics.

Ballet Level 3, Tap, and Acrobatics

Ballet Level 3, Tap, and Acrobatics (10 years+): Dancers with experience studying Ballet at the Cecchetti Grade 3 skill level & pre-pointe. Class time combined with Intermediate Tap and stretch – strengthening through Acrobatics.

Ballet Level 3 and Jazz

Ballet Level 3 and Jazz (10-13 years): Dancers with experience studying Ballet at the Cecchetti Grade 3 skill level & pre-pointe. Class time combined with beginning Jazz introducing Lyrical, Hip Hop and Musical Theater.

Intermediate Ballet, Level 5-7 and Dances

Intermediate Ballet, Level 5-7 and Dances (13 years+): Dancers studying Ballet multiple times per week at the Cecchetti Grade 5-6 level. Classical variations and Ballet choreography will be taught.

Intermediate and Advanced Ballet

Intermediate and Advanced Ballet, Level 5-7 and Pointe (13 years+): Dancers studying Ballet multiple times per week at the Cecchetti Grade 5-7 level. Class time will focus on wearing and dancing on Pointe.

Adult Ballet

Adult Ballet: Offers something for every age. Enjoy fitness, fun and grace while learning Ballet principles.

Beginning Modern and Jazz

Beginning Modern and Jazz (7 years+): Energetic & fun dancers learn how to use their individuality in movement. 6 weeks beginning Modern technique—learning basic classical technique of line, shape and dynamics plus improvisation. 6 weeks beginning Jazz—body isolations, syncopated rhythms of Jazz style. Class time combined with stretching, strengthening and Acrobatics.

Modern and Acrobatics

Modern and Acrobatics (10-13 years) Based on May O’Donnell Technique — principles of contraction & release, fall & recovery — improvisation and basics of choreography. Class time combined with stretching, strengthening and Acrobatics.

Modern

Modern (Teen and Adult): Based in May O’Donnell technique — principals of contraction & release, fall & recovery — and incorporating contemporary Modern styles. Danced in barefeet movements express inner feelings.

Beginning Tap I & II

Beginning Tap I & II (5-10 years): for students who would like to learn the fascinating rhythms of Tap.

Tap

Tap (Teen/Adult): Experienced Tap dancers improving their rhythmical skills.

Ballroom Basics

Ballroom Basics (Teen and Adult): Couple dancing! Have you seen “Dancing with the Stars”?

Lyrical

Lyrical (Teen and Adult): A style of Jazz that depends on Ballet technique. Its expressive and emotional dances are usually set to contemporary music and tell a story.

Intermediate Level Pilates Mat Class

Intermediate Level Pilates Mat Class: Adult exercise practicing Pilates exercises and principles of breath, core strengthening and stretch.

Company Class

Company Class: by audition or permission of the teacher, for the advanced dancer preparing for performances and guest choreography. Ballet based.
