Studio Policies

Tuition and Fees

Tution is based on a 40 lesson school year remitted in 3 Term Payments of 12 weeks plus payment of Festival weeks leading to end of year performance. (Fall, Winter, Spring & Festival of Dance) Students are enrolled for the entire Season’s tuition (40 weeks) unless written notification is received one week prior to beginning of a new term.

  • All Tuition is due in advance at the first of each New Term or by Full Season.
  • All late payments will be increased by a $10 late fee. We regret there are no exceptions.
  • Entry, Performances & Costumes are to be paid in advance completed by December 1st. $10 late fees will apply. Check & Cash payment only. Credit Cards are not accepted.

BILLING POLICY: If late billing is necessary, standard rate per classroom hour will apply. No Discount.
RETURNED CHECKS: All returned checks incur a $30.00 bank fee.
ABSENCES: There are no excused absences, forwarding or refunds as your place is reserved in your chosen class. Missed lessons may be made-up within the four week period. Your teacher is responsible to give personal attention or make recommendations if added make-up work is needed.

Private Lessons

PRIVATE LESSONS: May be booked for Choreography, Cecchetti Exam Study or Solos. Professional rates posted in office for private lessons. Cecchetti Exam dates are posted in the spring.

Holidays

Holidays will be made up within the dance season. Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter, Winter Break, Spring Break and Memorial Day (see the dance calendar)

Performances

PERFORMANCES: All dancers and Gulfcoast Dance guests will participate.

  • Mid-season OPEN-HOUSE — Saturday, December 17th at the First Baptist Church (free to public)
  • FESTIVAL OF DANCE — Proposed Sunday, May 27th, 2012. Tickets Available.
    This major production, Festival of Dance, will have a full day rehearsal prior on Friday, May 25th with performance on Sunday, May 27th in the Anderson Theater at Bishop Verot School.
    These performances are fun for all and part of complete dance training.

Dress Code

Correct dance attire is required.
Liberal but tasteful. No bare midriff. No baggy, ill-fitted clothing.
Ladies: Hair up with black leotard and pink tights.
Men: Black tights or jazz pants and fitted T-shirt. Appropriate shoes.

Performance Costumes

PERFORMANCE COSTUMES: Personal Responsibility. Deposit per costume made upon entry to school. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ON COSTUMES. A deposit is required for EACH SUBJECT performed. Monthly installments accepted and completed by December 1st. Late orders not guaranteed.

Dance Team

The Dance Team is open to all by audition. This activity requires an annual fee and patronships or
fund-raising to participate.

Visitors

Visitors are welcome the first lesson only of the month. Constant visiting and talking in the classroom is not encouraged. No video and no audio recording except at private lessons with permission.
